General Information:
Dr. Toups is happy to once again offer appointments with patients requiring a limited consultation for hormone balancing. These appointments are not for those who are seeking a complete Functional Medicine evaluation, but rather for those who are in treatment with another physician but looking for help with a hormone problem rather than an array of illnesses.
NOTE: Dr. Toups is not a Primary Care Physician or a Gynecologist. She does require that you maintain care with your Primary Care Physician and/or Gynecologist as appropriate.
Dr, Toups has 35 years of experience as a Physician and Psychopharmacologist, is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and has been the Principal Investigator on over 100 clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of new medications. She also completed a pivotal Precision Medicine trial with Dr. Dale Bredesen that was able to show improvement in 84% of patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment or early Dementia. She has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training in Functional Medicine, Nutrition, and Hormone Balancing, and brings a unique set of skills to help patients with medication and hormone concerns. Dr. Toups is schooled in pharmaceutical, herbal, and nutritional treatment options for hormonal imbalances, as well as mind-body stress reduction methods.

Appointment Costs:
- 75" Initial Consultation - $750
Additional follow-up visits or extended visits will be billed based on the amount of time involved:
- 30 minute F/U $350
- 45 minute F/U $475
- 60 minute F/U $600
- 75 minute F/U $750
Insurance:
Dr. Toups is an out-of-network provider and will provide an Insurance Superbill invoice at each visit that can be submitted for insurance reimbursement. Patients with PPO insurance are often reimbursed 50% or more of the charges after their deductible has been met, though we are unable to guarantee this due to the variability and unpredictability of health insurance plans.
Dr. Toups is not contracted with Medicare, so unfortunately you will not be able to bill Medicare for her services. She is, however, an Ordering & Referring Physician with Medicare, which means she is able to order laboratory tests on your behalf.
